An Unconventional Clothing Drive on Staten Island Collects Hundreds of Pajamas for Those in Need. A Staten Islander with a big heart is having an unconventional clothing drive this winter season. Stephanie Prendergast of Westerleigh is holding her 5th annual pajama drive.

As the founder of the organization Pajama’s for Pals, Prendergast receives donations from around Staten Island and around the world. So far this year, more than 500 sets of pajamas have been collected. Prendergast works with local organizations to help distribute the PJ’s to families in need. “Every year, the people who work with me and for me get together,” says Stephanie Prendergast, founder of Pajamas For Pals.
